Compassionate, creative support for your child and family
Childhood isn’t always carefree—especially for neurodivergent kids. Children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, or anxiety may struggle with daily routines and peer connection. Following multi-step directions, playing with a sibling, or even just putting on shoes can challenge their frustration tolerance and impulse control. Kids with trauma history, attachment issues, or a sensitized nervous system can face frequent emotional overwhelm. Transitions are tough; meltdowns, inevitable. Whether on the spectrum, nonbinary, or just their own special flavor of “quirky,” every child deserves support that honors their unique wiring and builds confidence, connection, and resilience.
Home-based Occupational Therapy and Parent Coaching
We believe that connection is at the heart of growth. Our home-based occupational therapy services offer support to children and families in the places that shape their everyday lives: home, school, and community settings.
We use a relationship-centered approach to leverage a child's strengths and build connections to encourage growth in their areas of challenge. We also foster connections within the family system and between the family and the community resources that can best support them.
We work with children of all ages across all areas of daily life—self-care, play, social-emotional skills, cognitive development, and family routines—while empowering parents with practical coaching and guidance.
Feeding is a core specialty for our team! Our clinicians have extensive training in multiple feeding interventions and address numerous related skill areas to support this essential task.
We also offer specialized listening therapies: The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), based on polyvagal theory, and Therapeutic Listening, based in a developmental and sensory integration perspective. These are powerful complementary modalities that can gently shift a child’s nervous system toward safety and engagement, making it easier to grow, connect, and thrive.
Connecting with you, your child’s primary caregiver, is always central to our approach. Through play, presence, and partnership, we help children grow in ways that are meaningful, sustainable, and rooted in real life.

Skills-building social groups
Fall 2026 Groups
Our new "Guys Gather" program starts October 20, 2026, open to ages 7-11.
Our popular "Girls Gather" program, now open to new participants, starts October 22 for ages 8-12.
Both groups meet 4:30-6:30 for 8 weeks (no groups during the week of Thanksgiving.)
Connected Therapy offers play-based, skills-building social groups throughout the year. Past groups have focused on feeding difficulties, toileting issues, sensory exploration, emotional regulation, peer social navigation, and more—sometimes all at once! Our groups are held outdoors whenever possible and include a concurrent parent support group led by a top-notch neuro-affirming specialist with educational, professional, and lived experience.

Transparent fee structure
Out of network coverage
Many health insurance plans do offer some out-of-network benefits. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to learn about your specific coverage. If your plan allows, we’re happy to provide a superbill (detailed invoice) at no extra charge, which you can submit for possible reimbursement. (Connected Therapy does not negotiate claims with insurance companies; managing reimbursement is the responsibility of the client.)
Increased involvement
Without insurance-mandated requirements, we can involve parents and caregivers more deeply in the therapy process, fostering collaboration and lasting progress.
Your child’s treatment plan is developed based on clinical expertise and your family’s goals, not dictated by insurance guidelines or the need for a specific diagnosis. This allows for creative, holistic, and responsive care.
Individualized care
Greater flexibility
Private pay means we are not restricted by insurance company rules on session length, frequency, or treatment types. We can tailor therapy to your child’s unique needs and adjust as those needs evolve, ensuring care is always relevant and effective.
Connected Therapy operates as a private-pay, out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. This model allows us to put your child’s needs first, without the limitations or external requirements imposed by insurance plans. Here’s why we believe this approach best serves families:
